Store your pieces in their acid-free tissue paper, if possible in a fully air-tight container. Tarnishing is a natural process which occurs in silver or silver-plated items with exposure to air, so always keep your designs carefully stored when not in use. Polishing your pieces regularly with a soft cloth will help to keep them at their best.
If tarnishing occurs in silver or silver-plated items, clean gently with a soft silver jewellery cloth.
Tarnishing or discolouration can occur with exposure to chemicals such as hairspray, cosmetics or perfume, so keep these away from your pieces to avoid damage. Also, never immerse in water.
Many designs are delicate so treat them with the care that they deserve. Handle gently, and always handle with clean hands as natural body oils can increase the likelihood of tarnishing or discolouration. Polish gently with a soft cloth after handling.
